About

I live and breathe running. From the moment I awake to the second my tired, twitchy legs let me fall asleep again. I love to be outdoors. Moving, and enjoying the feeling of fitness and strength. Being able to endure the conditions, the terrain, the weather and the distances.

I’m passionate about the human body & mind and the rewards it delivers through a wholefood, plant-based diet, good running form, an ever-evolving training plan and the desire to push personal limits.

I race ultra marathons. I run challenges. I endure.

I do it for myself, my family, my sponsors and my country.

I’ve learned a lot over the last few years. Both from the successes and the mistakes.

Online support

In just a matter of years racing ultras I’ve gone from just ‘competing and completing’ to ‘challenging and winning’. It was no overnight success – it took a lot of hard work and determination and is still a work-in-progress.

I strongly believe that through a well-structured training plan with the benefit of my experiences of competing in some of the best and toughest races, I can help others achieve their ultra ambitions, either just to complete their first or to start challenging and winning.

Working with an annual race plan, weekly schedules, regular discussions and the right kind of advice you’ll be taking the opportunity to take your running to a new level. And, not just for a single race, but working towards a sustainable level of improved health and performance.

I have no formal coaching qualifications but I can demonstrate continued and dramatic performance improvements over the last 4 – 5 years. I value experience more than badges and I’d only put my trust in those that have first hand experience of racing ultras. I’ll always be honest – if I don’t think I can help then I won’t waste your time.

Experience

The last few years have been incredible. From cold, wet days spent on Scottish Munro’s to training weeks in the French and Swiss Alps as well as a 5-week spell running the Ponderosa Pine forests of Flagstaff Arizona. I’ve run mountains, trails and canyons. Spent days in forests, running icy mountain passes, red rock desert trails and running in circles at the IAU World 100K Championships.

I’ve raced over 30 ultras, 33 miles to 24hours.

I’m proud to be part of an ultra racing team and I’m grateful for the support I get from my sponsors: Nathan, Osmo, Feetures, HoneyStinger and Rocktape.

I’ve run at national and world level, representing Scotland and Great Britain.

I’ve a lot to offer, so talk to me, I might be able to help.
